ALEX GREGOR WILL FIX THE ROADS
As a lifelong Hampton Bays & Southampton Town resident I am deeply concerned with the safety of our roads, preserving our healthy environment, protecting our resources, & ensuring the economic well-being of our community. The Superintendent of Highways plays an integral role in achieving these goals, but the current administration has not exercised the leadership these roles demand.
As Superintendent of Highways, I will:
- Repair problems when they occur
- Cut expenses
- Institute an apprentice training program at no cost to taxpayers
- Launch a Pothole Hotline so you can report potholes, dangerous conditions and hear progress
- Improve the leaf and brush pick up program so you know when
they’ll be picked up instead of guessing
- Complete paving and road improvements on the Town’s schedule,
not on the paving companies'
- Complete storm water runoff projects to improve our water quality
- Improve working conditions to promote safe working environment
- Think outside the box: install solar panels on closed landfills to
generate revenue.
I will be accessible, I will listen, I will act.
